Expectations:

  1. On ALL DAYS, bring your pen/pencil and notebook.
  2. Review your notes DAILY. Answer the homework questions you are assigned for homework in your notebook. Notebooks should contain all class notes and all homework that was assigned to be done in the notebooks. Write the questions before your write the answers. Write in complete sentences and display VALID ideas.
  3. DO NOT GLUE/PASTE ANY PRINTER/COPIER-PRODUCED MATERIALS IN YOUR NOTEBOOK. Many quizzes are "open-notes". ALL NOTES AND DIAGRAMS MUST BE HAND-WRITTEN AND HAND-DRAWN - NO EXCEPTIONS.
  4. I am available for help during the Contact Time, most of my Free Periods and After School Daily in the Science Office!! Note: As a rule, I do not answer test questions on test day. Plan accordingly!!
  5. If you are absent, you must talk to a RELIABLE classmate and compare her notes to STEMBook notes and acquire any added information.
  6. The lab animals and plants are for display. Please treat them kindly.
  7. Lab safety is paramount. Please refrain from careless or reckless lab behavior.
  8. Please be on your way to your seat or in your seat as quickly as you can during the passing time between classes.
  9. Harassment of fellow students is intolerable.
  10. Cheating on tests, quizzes, homework, or any other work is a SERIOUS infraction. Review the code of Academic Honesty in the student handbook.
  11. Nerinx Hall is for students. S - T - U - D - E - N - T - S. Definition: One who is enrolled or attends classes at a school, college, or university. One who studies something. Be a student.
  12. Life is choices. Choose wisely and make good choices. Generally this means "choose study" over most other activities.
  13. Seek help when you need it. Do not wait until the last minute. See #11.
